KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human Rho GTPase-activating protein 23.
Background Information:
Rho GTPase-activating protein 23 is a multidomain cytoplasmic protein belonging to a large family of over 70 Rho-GAP proteins which regulate the activity of Rho GTPases. In general, Rho-GAP proteins enhance the activity of Rho GTPases resulting in more rapid inactivation of Rho GTPases. Rho-GAP proteins have been implicated in many cellular processes such as endocytosis, exocytosis, cytokinesis, cell migration, differentiation, and tumor suppression. Rho GTPase-activating protein 23, a relatively new member of this family, has been detected in prostate, placenta, hippocampus, medulla, and in various tumors, but its precise biological function is not yet clear.
