Immunogen:
Histidine-tagged recombinant protein corresponding to human GRK6.
Clone:
4B11.2
Isotype:
IgG2aκ
Background Information:
G protein-coupled receptor kinase 6 (GRK6) is a widely expressed member of the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family and is comprised of an AGC-kinase C-terminal domain, a protein kinase domain, and a RGS domain. GRK6, like other GRKs, possesses unique activity against activated G protein-coupled receptors, which serves to regulate activation-dependent desensitization of the GPCR active forms. Studies have shown a critical role for GRK6 in the regulation of lymphocyte CXCR4 activity.

Entrez Gene Summary:
This gene encodes a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G protein)-coupled receptor kinase subfamily of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family. The protein phosphorylates the activated forms of G protein-coupled receptors thus initiating their deactivation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq].
