Beta-Gamma Catenin [pY654/pY643] Mouse mAb (clone 1 B11)
The α-, β- and γ-catenins are cytoplasmic proteins mediating the interaction of Ca2+-dependent transmembrane adhesion molecules (cadherins) with the cytoskeletal network. Additionally, β-catenin is a substrate of both receptor and non-receptor tyrosine kinases. Tyrosine 86 and tyrosine 654 are substrates of EGFR and Src family kinases while tyrosine 142 is a substrate of FER tyrosine kinases.
Isotype: Mouse IgG1
Clone/PAD: 1B11
Immunogen: Phosphopeptide containing amino acid sequence VAT[pY]AAA, conjugated to hemocyanin.
Specificity: This antibody specifically recognizes β-catenin when phosphorylated at tyrosine 654 (90 kDa) and Ü-catenin when phosphorylated at tyrosine 643 (70 kDa). Due to sequence homologies of the phospho-epitope surrounding tyrosine 654, there may be cross-reactivity with other proteins (e.g., Annexin A11 (56 kDa), Desmoplakin (81 kDa), TNFÉ-induced protein 2 (73 kDa), ribosomal protein S6 kinase alpha 6 (90 kDa)).
