Amyloid Beta (Abeta) [1-42] Rabbit mAb (clone 20-1)
For improved reproducibility and sensitivity please try Aβ [1-42] ABfinity™ Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Catalog# 700254.
Rabbit (monoclonal) anti- Abeta 42 clone 20-1 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody, which reacts with human and Mouse Abeta 42, and is validated for IHC and ELISA.
Amyloid beta (A4) precursor protein (APP) is a 100-140 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein existing as several isoforms. The amino acid sequence of APP contains the amyloid domain Abeta (Aβ), which can be cleaved by a two-step proteolytic cleavage and release Aβ peptides of Aβ [1-40], Aβ [1-42], and Aβ [1-43] corresponding to residues 40, 42, and 43 respectively. The extracellular plaque deposition and accumulation of the released Aβ peptides (β -amyloid), and intracellular neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) in the brain, are the characteristics of Alzeimer disesease (AD). Increased release of the ‘longer forms’ of Ab peptide, Ab42 or Ab43, which have a greater tendency to aggregate than Ab40, occurs in
