This purified mouse CD4 monoclonal antibody recognizes the human CD4 antigen. CD4 monoclonal antibody is involved in the recognition of class II Major Histocompatibility Complex antigens (MHC-II). CD4 is the receptor for HIV. CD4 monoclonal antibody can be used in applications such as flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (frozen), immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence.

CD4 monoclonal antibody binds the human CD4 antigen; a 55 kD glycoprotein involved in the recognition of class II Major Histocompatability Complex antigens (MHC-II). CD4 is also the receptor for HIV. It is present on most T helper cells and normal thymocytes. The cytoplasmic portion of CD4 associates with the p56Ick tyrosine kinase.
