Background Information:
Histones are basic nuclear proteins that are responsible for the nucleosome structure of chromatin in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which DNA is wrapped in repeating units, called nucleosomes. Histone H2B is one of the main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N terminal tail H2B is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the 'beads on a string' structure.

Immunocytochemistry:
A 1:500 dilution of a representative lot of this antibody detected Histone H2B in A431, HeLa and NIH/3T3 cells.
Control:
HepG2 cell lysate, L6 cell lysate, Mouse Brain Lysate
Quality Assurance:
Evaluated by western blot in HepG2 cell lysate.
Western Blot Analysis:
A 1:1,000-1:2,000 dilution of this antibody detected Histone H2B in 10 µg of HepG2 cell lysate.
