Recognizes a region composed of residues subsequent to Ser29 of human Caspase-3. This antibody will only detect the active form of Caspase-3
Molecular Weight:
17 kDa
Immunogen:
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide composed of residues subsequent to Ser29 of human Caspase-3.
Isotype:
IgG
Species Reactivity:
Human
Mouse
Quality Assurance:
Routinely evaluated by immunoblot.
Presentation:
In 60% storage buffer (50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA) and 40% glycerol.
Storage Conditions:
2 year at -20°C from date of shipment. Upon first thaw, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol-containing solutions to become frozen during storage.

Entrez Gene Summary:
This gene encodes a protein which is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme. This protein cleaves and activates caspases 6, 7 and 9, and the protein itself is processed by caspases 8, 9 and 10. It is the predominant caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A precursor pr |
