Functional Aspects:
S-100 protein is found in neuroectodermal tissue, including nerves and melanocytes, Langerhans cells in skin and interdigitating reticulum cells in the paracortex of lymph nodes. This antibody is not recommended for staining neural elements, but stains almost all malignant melanomas. |
