Functional Aspects:P-Cadherin is a Ca2+-dependent cell adhesion molecule responsible for selective cell to cell adhesion. It is only detected in the basal or parabasal layers of stratified epithelia. It has been implicated in tumor progression and certain cancers with altered expression. This antibody will help determine the presence of P-cadherin in a variety of tissues.
