Functional Aspects:
CD61 is expressed on megakaryocytes, platelets and their precursors. It functions in platelet aggregation and is also a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor and vitronectin. This antibody will help detect CD61 and be a marker for platelets and megakaryocytes in normal and uncharacterized tissues. |
