Functional Aspects:
CD54 or intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM-1) is expressed on monocytes and endothelial cells and is induced on B and T cells, thymocytes, fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and epithelial cells. It mediates immune and inflammatory responses and is involved with the adhesion of T cells with antigen-presenting cells. This antibody will help detect CD54 and identify CD54 expressing cell types. |
