Functional Aspects: CD45RO is an isoform of CD45 and is one of four isoforms of the CD45R subfamily that constitute the restricted form of the leukocytes common antigen. CD45RA, CD45RB and CD45RC complete the subfamily. CD45RO is expressed on 48% of peripheral blood T lymphocytes, 37% of CD4 positive lymphcytes, 80% of thymocytes and on the majority of T cell malignancies. Monocytes, granulocytes and tissue macrophages also express CD45RO. This antibody may help identify T cells in a variety of tissues. |
