Akt Inhibitor (10-NCP)
A reversible and specific inhibitor of Akt activity in vitro
Product Overview
Product Name: Akt Inhibitor (10-NCP)
Alternate Name/Synonyms: 10-(4′-(N-diethylamino)butyl)-2-chlorophenoxazine hydrochloride
Description: Cell-permeable. A reversible and specific inhibitor of Akt activity in vitro (complete inhibition at < 5 µM). Displays minimal effect on PI 3-K, PDK1, or SGK1. Blocks IGF-I stimulated nuclear translocation of Akt in Rh1 cells and suppressed growth of Rh1, Rh18, and Rh30 cells (IC₅₀ = 2–5 µM). Also shown to induce neuronal autophagy in an Akt- and mTOR-independent manner and enhances the clearance of misfolded protein.
