Description: KEY FEATURES:
• Amine-reactive; has a spacer with arm length of 22.4 Å which helps to minimize steric hindrance to biotin labeling
• More water-soluble than the corresponding NHS compound without the sulfo group
• Membrane-impermeable
• Forms permanent amide bonds and the spacer arm cannot be cleaved
APPLICATIONS:
• Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin is ideal for biotinylating antibody or protein that can then be used for protein detection, purification or immobilization
• Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin is particularly useful for targeting cell surface proteins due to the membrane-impermeability of this reagent.
