Description: A potent, water-soluble poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor (EC₅₀ = 20 nM). Inhibits peroxynitrite-induced cell necrosis and displays significant, dose-dependent anti-inflammatory effects in a variety of local inflammation models. Provides cardioprotection by decreasing myocardial infarct size. Suppresses cell growth in liver cancer cells.
