Description: A furanocoumarin isolated from Opopanax chironium L. Displays anticancer properties. It induces apoptosis as well as DNA fragmentation at the G1/S phase of the cell cycle. Imperatorin sensitizes anoikis and inhibits anchorage-independent growth of lung cancer cells. Modulator of SMAD1/5/8, p38, ERK pathways. Also acts as a L-type calcium channel blocker.
