Etoposide Phosphate
Description
Inhibitor of the enzyme topoisomerase III. Etoposide forms a ternary complex with DNA and the topoisomerase II enzyme, preventing re-ligation of the DNA strands. This causes errors in DNA synthesis and promotes apoptosis of the cancer cell.
