FeTMPyP Catalyzes the isomerization of peroxynitrite (ONOO–) to nitrate (NO3–) under physiological conditions and at realistic dose-derived concentrations (Kcat = 2.2 x 106 M-1s-1). Effectively prevents the oxidation of lipid components by peroxynitrite. Also catalytically decomposes superoxide radicals (O2·). Irradiation of the aqueous solution at 335 nm releases hydroxyl (OH·) radicals.
