PLCγ-1 is a 135 kDa ubiquitously expressed isozyme that is activated by phosphorylation of tyrosine 783 and interacts with growth factor receptors (EGFR, PDGFR, etc.) and adhesion/cytoskeletal proteins (FAK, paxillin) to influence a multiple number of signaling pathways.
