Retinoid X Receptor Alpha Mouse anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody (clone K8505)
Retinoid X receptor-α (RXR-α; NR2B1) is a member of the orphan nuclear receptor family. 9-cis retinoic acid can bind to RXR. RXR-α is expressed in liver, muscle, lung, kidney, intestine, heart and spleen. RXR-α plays an important role in a variety of processes including embryonic patterning and organogenesis, cell proliferation and differentiation. RXRs commonly function as heterodimers with other members of the nuclear receptor superfamily.
Isotype
Mouse IgG2a
Clone/PAD
K8505
Immunogen
Produced in BALB/c mouse ascites after inoculation with hybridoma of mouse myeloma cells (NS-1) and spleen cells derived from a BALB/c mouse immunized with Baculovirus-expressed recombinant human RXR-α (2-133 aa).
Specificity
This antibody specifically recognizes human RXRα and cross reacts with mouse and rat RXRα. This antibody does not recognize human RXRβ and γ.
Reactivity
Hu, Ms, Rt
