Liver X Receptor Alpha Mouse anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody (clone K8607)
Liver X receptor-α (LXRa, RLD-1; NR1H3) is a member of the orphan nuclear receptor family. LXR-α activator is the naturally occurring compound 22-(R)ƒhydroxycholesterol (22(R)-HC), 20(S)HC, 24-HC, 25ƒHC, 7α-HC. LXR-α is expressed in the liver, kidney and spleen. LXR-α has an important role in regulating cholesterol metabolism. It is believed that LXR specific agonist may have important medical applications in the regulation of cholesterol homeostasis. LXR-α forms a heterodimer with RXR.
