CD138 (Syndecan-1) Rabbit pAb (clone ZMD.289), concentrate
CD138 (Syndecan-1) is a transmembrane proteoglycan member of the Syndecan family that is expressed predominantly on epithelia, but also present on pre-B cells and plasma cells. Expression of Syndecan-1 is characteristic of terminally differentiated B cells. A recent study shows that expression of CD138 is a sensitive marker for cutaneous plasmacytoma, independent of cytologic differentiation. Positive tissue: MM bone marrow biopsy/skin/normal stomach
