The chromogranins (A, B, and C) are major components of dense core granules of neuroendocrine cells and sympathetic nerves. Our polyclonal Chromogranin A antibody is useful in the identification of neuroepithelial and neuroendocrine differentiation in neoplastic cells. It may be used with other neuroendocrine markers such as NSE, MOC-32, CD56, and synaptophysin to improve the tumor diagnosis. This antigen is the most specific marker for neuroendocrine differentiation. Positive tissue: Human pancreas or neuroendocrine tumor that has been previously shown to express Chromogranin A
