This polyclonal antibody stains GFAP. In general, normal and neoplastic astrocytic cells react positively for GFAP. Ganglion cells, neurons, fibroblasts and oligodendrocytes and the tumors derived from these cells will stain negatively. Positive tissue: Astrocytoma/brain.
