PLUS™ Reagent is used in conjunction with transfection reagents, such as Lipofectamine®, to enhance transfection in adherent cell lines. Some customers find when using Plus™ Reagent that less optimization of DNA concentration is needed to achieve high transfection performance. The addition of Plus™ Reagent may also reduce the quantities of DNA and lipid required by approximately one-half compared to lipid alone. PLUS™ Reagent was specifically designed to expand the array of transfectable cell types (1). PLUS™ Reagent used with Lipofectamine™ Reagent has been demonstrated to improve the transfection of BHK-21, NIH 3T3, and other cell lines (2). |
