Platinum® PCR SuperMix 96, non-skirted
Platinum® PCR SuperMix 96 provides qualified reagents for the amplification of nucleic acid templates by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The reagents are prealiquoted into 96-well microtiter plates (nonskirted) for high-throughput applications as well as general ease of use.
Each plate well contains anti-Taq DNA polymerase antibody, Mg++, deoxyribonucleotide triphosphates, and recombinant Taq DNA Polymerase. Due to specific binding of the anti-Taq antibody, polymerase activity is inhibited at room temperature. Activity is restored after a denaturation step in PCR cycling at 94°C, providing an automatic hot start in PCR and thereby
improving PCR specificity and yield.
