Background Information:
Chemokine (C-C motif) receptor-like 1 (CCRL1) also known as CC-CKR-11, is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) for C-C type cytokines. As such it is a seven transmembrane receptor that binds chemokines. As the CCR denotes, the ligand binds adjacent to the first 2 cysteines. It is known to be predominantly expressed in the heart with other areas of expression including lung, pancreas, colon, and small intestine. CCRL1 is known to bind the dendritic and T-cell chemokines that include CCL12, CCL21, and CCL25.

Entrez Gene Summary:
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family, and is a receptor for C-C type chemokines. This receptor has been shown to bind dendritic cell- and T cell-activated chemokines including CCL19/ELC, CCL21/SLC, and CCL25/TECK. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described. [provided by RefSeq]
