Background Information: Interleukin 16 (IL-16), also known as lymphocyte chemoattractant factor (LCF), stimulates a migratory response in CD4+ T cells and CD4+ monocytes and eosinophils. In addition, human IL-16 induces expression of the IL-2 receptor by T cells. Murine IL-16 is a 13.2 kDa protein containing 127 amino acid residues.
Handling: Centrifuge the vial prior to opening.
