Application: Western blot
Application & Usage: Western blotting (0.5-4 µg/ml). However, the optimal concentrations should be determined individually. The antibody recognizes 60-100 kDa MPO from samples of human, mouse, and rat origins. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

Background Descriptions: Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is highly expressed in neutrophils and polymorphonuclear luekocytes. MPO is expressed as a dimer in regular neutrophils with a 140kDA. The glycoslated form of MPO has a molecular weight of 92kDa and when undergoes a final glycoslyation, MPO forms subunits of 60kDa and 12kDa. In recent studies, MPO was shown to be involved in the initiation and progression of cardiovascular disease.
