Functional Aspects:CD79a is part of the complex that constitutes the B cell antigen receptor. CD79a is found early in B cell maturation and it has been reported on normal and neoplastic B cells. It is not present on myeloid or T cells. This antibody will help identify tissues of B cell origin.
