Functional Aspects:
Placental Alkaline Phosphatase (PLAP) is only found in normal term placenta, endocervix, oviduct and in ovarian and proximal intestinal tumors. A PLAP-like variant is seen mostly in fetal testis and thymus and some defined tumors. This antibody will help detect PLAP and PLAP-like enzyme in normal and uncharacterized tissues. |
