Functional Aspects:Cyclooxygenase-2 is a mitogen-inducible form of cyclooxygenase and is expressed in response to inflammatory stimuli such as UV radiation and T cell receptor triggering. It induces angiogenesis and functions in normal keratinocyte differentiation. This enzyme is found in normal skin and epithelial cells of various diseases and cancers. This antibody will help detect and further characterize the inducible form of cyclooxygenase.
