Functional Aspects: Platelet-derived endothelial growth factor (PDEGF) is one of many factors involved in the complex multi-step process of angiogenesis. PDEGF is also known to be thymidine phosphorylase and strong expression is seen in macrophages, stromal cells, glial cells and some epithelia. PDEGF expression appears to be tightly regulated and this antibody may help further characterize PDEGF function in a variety of tissues. |
