Product Details:
Complete removal of all impurities and contaminants from glassware is a necessity for most laboratory applications. For many years, caustic alcohol and chromic acid solutions were used for many substances that could not be cleaned from glassware by ordinary detergents. These strongly acidic or strongly basic cleaning products reduce the lifespan of glassware while exposing the user to potential harm. By contrast, Thermo Scientific RBS 35 and PCC-54 Products are mildly basic, biodegradable, surfactant concentrates containing anionic and nonionic detergents. The surfactants clean by penetrating between contaminating substances and the surfaces to be cleaned. Glass, plastics, quartz, porcelain and ferrous metal apparatus can be cleaned safely and effectively in a 2% solution (v/v) of the concentrates or a 0.2% solution (w/v) of the solids. RBS 35 and PCC-54 Cleaners remove both organic and inorganic materials and metal ions from laboratory equipment. The detergents rinse away completely, leaving no residue. |
